Frequently asked questions

Everything about owning a plot, what it costs, visitor stats and what Petriplot does for your marketing. More in What is Petriplot?

What is Petriplot?

Petriplot (petriplot.com) is an interactive digital city where individuals and businesses own a plot, personalise a building, invite visitors and see real visitor stats. A plot with one floor costs $1 at the launch price (usually $5), each additional floor is $2 up to 50 floors and $5 after that, and every payment is one-time. Yours to keep: no renewal fees, no forced sale. No crypto, no NFTs.

How does Petriplot work?

Find an available plot in the city, make it yours with your colours, a logo billboard and a link to your website, then own it for $1 at the launch price (usually $5). Visitors stroll the city's streets and open your building, and you see the visits in your visitor stats.

How much does a plot cost?

A plot with one floor costs $1 at the launch price (usually $5), and each additional floor is $2 up to 50 floors and $5 after that, up to 100. Every payment is one-time, and there are no renewal fees to keep your plot. Prices are in US dollars.

Is Petriplot crypto or an NFT?

No. Petriplot has no crypto and no NFTs, and you don't need a wallet. You pay by card through Stripe. A plot is a digital profile, not an investment.

Can someone buy my building from me?

No. There's no forced sale on Petriplot, so nobody can buy your building out from under you. Resale and transfers aren't offered today. Your plot is yours to keep.

Do I keep my plot forever?

Your plot is yours to keep for as long as Petriplot runs. Every payment is one-time, there are no renewal fees, and there's no forced sale. See the plot terms for details.

Can I sell or transfer my plot?

Not today. Resale and transfers aren't offered on Petriplot, and nobody can force a sale of your plot.

What can I put on my building?

Your colours, a square logo billboard, your profile and a link to your website. Adding floors unlocks new architecture. Colour, logo, profile and website edits are always free.

Will people actually visit my building?

Petriplot can't promise visitors, but every building shows real visitor stats, so you can see how many people visit and click through to your website. The stats are estimates, and clicks aren't proof of sales.

How are visitor stats counted?

Unique visitors are estimated with a first-party browser identifier, visits are grouped into 30-minute sessions, clicks to your website are counted, and the approximate country comes from the browser's time zone. The animated characters in the city aren't counted.

How does Petriplot help me market my business?

Your building is an address you can share: petriplot.com/plot/ and your number, with its own preview card on WhatsApp, X and LinkedIn, a QR code for print and a "Find us on Petriplot" badge for your website. A promo line shows under your sign, a plane banner can fly your message over the city, and you can ask for an X Spotlight, a post from @petriplot that tags you.

Does my plot help my website show up in search?

It gives your business a citation: your plot page names your business, describes it and links to your website, on a page search engines and AI assistants can read. Because plots are paid for, that link is marked as sponsored, so it doesn't pass ranking credit the way an independent article linking to you would. What it gives you is a place to be found and a link people actually use.

Will I see visits from Petriplot in my own website stats?

Yes. Links to your website carry Petriplot tags (utm_source=petriplot, plus your plot number), so visits show up in your own stats as coming from Petriplot. Your own tags are kept. Your building's visitor stats also count every click through to your website.

Can I choose my plot number?

Yes. Tap any free plot in the city to own that number at the usual price, or own a plot and get the next number in order.

Is Petriplot legit? Is it safe to pay?

Payments are processed by Stripe, and Petriplot never stores your card number. The plot terms are public at petriplot.com/terms, and support is at support@petriplot.com.
