YOUR PRIVACY
A little clarity.
What Petriplot keeps, why, and what you can do about it.
What we store
- Your account identifier and the email you sign in with.
- If you own a plot, your sign-in email is also used to send you the optional weekly plot summary and a short note when the city opens a new place. It is never shown publicly.
- Your saved designs, uploaded logos and payment references, to run your account.
- Stripe handles card details. Petriplot never stores your card number.
- Public plots show only the profile information you publish.
Visitor stats
- A first-party browser identifier estimates unique visitors, and activity is grouped into 30-minute visits.
- Website-click events show owners how many visitors their plot sends to their website. They are not proof of purchases.
- Your browser’s time zone gives an approximate country for the “Where visitors come from” list. No IP address is used for this.
- Clearing cookies or using another device may count you again. Public statistics are aggregated.
- Animated Plotizens are characters, not representations of people currently online.
Ads on X
- Petriplot advertises on X. X’s ad pixel tells X when someone who saw or tapped a Petriplot ad visits, becomes a plot owner or buys a sky banner, with the amount paid, so we can see which ads work.
- The pixel sends X your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit here, under X’s own privacy policy. Petriplot receives only totals from X.
- In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (judged from your browser’s time zone) you are asked first. Elsewhere it is on unless you turn it off here.
